My father, John Sack, retired MD, finally published some of his work. I helped him out with the cover on this brilliant, short pamphlet, which serves as a sort of breviloquent dictionary for deciphering political jargon, the stuff that’s slung about by the media, the pundits, and the politicians of America.

A selection of entries:

presidential address
dog and pony show

political speech
platitude recycling exercise

political speechwriter
educated con artist

eloquence
charismatic sophistry

This book supports neither the left or right agenda – it denounces both sides of the aisle for the rhetorical nonsense that falsely propagates as coherent discourse. It does not attempt to offer absolutes, but it is certainly thought-provoking, intended to help us ask questions and to think more critically, so that we can get a leg up out of the bullshit that so entrenches government today. Perhaps then, we can respond more intelligently to the problems we face as a country.
