The Oxfordshire annual Visual Arts Festival (Artweeks) is coming up in May, when local artists and craftspeople will open their studios to the public, with nearly 500 exhibitions throughout the county. This is Oxfordshire’s biggest arts event, and every year it proves to be a wonderful experience for artists and art-enthusiasts alike.

As a prelude to the big event, you are invited to join North county artists for an Artweeks’ preview event. Next month, April 13th through the 16th, at the Banbury Town Hall, the council presents Artists At Work. The Face of the Artist exhibition will be on, showcasing canvases from all artists in the North county who wish to contribute their work, focusing on the loosely defined theme of artistic identity. Plus, over the three days, there will be a variety of demonstrations by an eclectic group of artists. Admission is free! Check out the schedule below.

I’ll be there to kick off the demonstrations on the 14th, which happens to be my birthday, with my flower arranging paraphernalia and some gorgeous blooms.

Hope to see you there!
