Owners of Yak Yeti Yak with me and the painting of their restaurant: Yak Yeti Yak, Mind Your Head

When my husband and I visited the beautiful English town of Bath for a weekend away a couple years ago, we discovered an excellent, literally underground, Nepalese restaurant called Yak Yeti Yak.

Over dinner, inspired by the space, I made sketches that I later turned into a painting.

The painting was sold to the owners and is now on display in the main entrance across from the bar. The rest of the restaurant is filled with interesting Nepalese artifacts and paintings, and even a pair of boots, pack, and pick axe that were used to climb mount Everest.

If you’re ever in Bath, don’t miss the chance to eat here! The food is award-winning, and the momos are especially delicious.

And in case you are wondering about the footprints in the painting coming down the stairs, they were in fact there! They are the mysterious tracks of the Yeti (aka the infamous Abominable Snowman).
